Besides public performances, Indira has taken active part in television programmes to convey the aesthetic movements and beauty of Indian classical dance forms to majority audiences. As a top grade artiste of Doordarshan (Indian national television network), Indira has the honour of presenting many series of 'National Programme of dance' on Sattriya and Bharata Natyam on Indian television. A regular performer of Kolkata, Chennai and Guwahati Television centres, she has also appeared in BBC Television, Vision of Asia Television (USA) and in many foreign television channels.

Indira has projected the cultural heritage of Assam through an exclusive television serial, "Misty Lands of Seven Sisters" directed by Dr. Bhupen Hazarika.
